Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Your Second Season Bingo Cards — With Some Positive Updates

The much-anticipated second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been intense.

The first season presents a large cast of characters residing in Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other accompanied by songs detailing their conflicts, and builds tense rivalries and emotional bonds that drive fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the binding agreement affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with audience demands as the main goal," the showrunner stated earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 moves, and how much of what they're waiting for happens this season.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some incredible disclosures, some really cool origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — particularly in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people create a bingo card about season 2," she says. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've actually done a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
